The Tulsi plant has been a part and parcel of Indian culture for centuries. Its health benefits are innumerable. There are three types of Tulsi plants in India, Krishna Tulsi, Rama Tulsi and Vana Tulsi.


Here is a list of the few health benefits that the Tulsi leaf offers.

Boosts immunity

Vitamin C and zinc present in Tulsi acts as a natural immunity booster and keeps infections at bay. It has anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties which protect against a variety of infections.

Basil is known to bring your cortisol levels down and make you feel relaxed.

Tulsi soothes your stomach and relieves indigestion issues. Just add half a teaspoon of fresh basil leaves to your smoothies or meals if you’ve been facing constipation or bloating, and notice the difference.

Tulsi is a natural remedy to fight against early greying of the hair. Take a few fresh tulsi leaves and mix it with amla powder. Make the paste the night before and apply it in the morning before you wash your hair for good results.
